Grid GenerationThe simulation region is covered with a regular grid. Then, by determining critical points of the boundary and grid line intersections, the cell types are classified. We distinguish between outer grid cells (white), boundary cells, and inner grid cells. The three-dimensional grid generation is completely anloguous, as is illustrated with the example of a wall fountain. The simulation region is covered by an array of cubical cells, partially shown in the following Figure. The classification of the cell types is visualized with three cross sections, corresponding to different heights of the object.
